Ebook Marketing Strategy - Methods That Pull in Traffic

When you're involved in marketing online having an eBook marketing strategy that drives traffic to your site is significant. How successful you will be at finding people who are interested in your content or eBook ideas will depend largely on the methods you use to steer traffic.

While there are many ways to steer traffic to your site, becoming expert in a couple of online internet marketing strategies will lay the ground work for your online marketing success.

The process of marketing information eBooks online is not complicated. First, you must compose an eBook around some topic or particular niche. Second, you must find what strategy you'll use to get that information to your targeted audience so that they will visit your site.

This article is only concerned with the second part of the process, how to get targeted traffic to your site using a sound eBook marketing strategy.

1. Various internet marketing programs will tell you "article marketing" is a good method for marketing or promoting your niche, website, affiliate eBook or product. This style of marketing is particularly effective for individuals who have a small or nonexistent marketing budget.

When writing articles you have the opportunity to furnish usable information to your reader and provide links to your website, eBook or affiliate program. You will also be able to tap into the viral effect of article marketing by submitting your articles to article directories, third-party sites and ezine publishers.

Finally, allow reprinting of your articles as long as the promotional links are maintained within the article.

2. "Viral marketing" is another great method of advertising and driving traffic to your site. This is not a new method and is well suited as an eBook marketing strategy. It targets people who love to share ideas, network, and have a similar interest.

You can start a viral marketing campaign by simply making an attractive offer to customers on your mailing list; submitting an article that you've written, by giving away something for free, or offering a substantial discount.

At the same time give them the option of passing the information along to their family, friends and associates knowing they will know at least one other person that will have an interest in what you're offering. This strategy should allow you to see a noticeable increase in traffic.

Both of these strategies are excellent methods for marketing any product or service. But when combined they work together to unleash an extraordinary eBook marketing strategy.

The best way to attract visitors is to give away something for free. Produce an eBook that you can give away for free. Write an informational article about your eBook. Place that article on your website, in your auto responder, post ads giving away your eBook solution as free information.

Include an invitation for interested parties to pass your information around. This makes it very easy for your visitors to recommend your site to people they know.

Of course, these are not the only methods, but do represent a fairly easy eBook marketing strategy for driving traffic to your site. These methods have been used by scores of marketers with a great deal of success and, if done correctly, should prove to be equally successful for you, too.

Home Decoration And DIY

Home decoration and DIY is something that some people have a real interest in and are able to become quite skilled at. Although these two things are linked they are very different from each other and people will usually have a real skill for one and not the other. Decorating requires an eye for style and design whereas DIY is a much more hands on job that requires skill, technique and patience.

Decorating a home does not really have a defined right or wrong because at the end of the day it is down to the person who lives in the home to decide what suits them. However many people can define something as stylish and will appreciate something that is well put together as opposed to a miss match of personal touches. Being able to see colours and imagine them together in interesting ways is a skill that only some people have. Being able to envision an end product and know exactly how you will carry it out to get there is not an easy task.

Do it yourself jobs are followed through more carefully to instructions and have a much more definite sense of right and wrong. If something is not made correctly or the first step is input wrongly then the more you carry on with a project, the more the mistakes will become more and more apparent. If something does not fit correctly then you would have to keep going back and checking through each stage carried out. This could be fitting a door frame or moulding, putting up a shelf, putting up a fence etc.

With home decoration you will rarely need tools, only at the beginning stages once deciding to paint and wallpaper walls. You will of course need some paint brushes, wallpaper paste and a pasting table. Once this stage is out of the way the job becomes more about the accessories and finishing touches which will require no physical work. DIY requires a box full of tools including screwdrivers, hammers, spirit level and many more. You should ensure you have all you need before starting a project. There is nothing worse than getting into the swing of things to only find out you are missing something important and vital to completion. No matter which of the two of these, or perhaps both, you are interested in, keep carrying them out on your own home and experimenting to progress your skill.

A Media Planners Guide to a Kick-Ass Media Plan!

I am sad. I am sad that most agencies (big and small) under appreciate and often times, cheapen, the research, process, and work that actually goes into an effective media plan.

As I write this, I would like to share with all other media planners out there, that somehow we can proactively counteract this trend.

Try explaining to your clients the anatomy that goes into an effective media plan. Remember, anyone can learn to do a media plan but not anyone can master the art of creating an effective one!

Media planning is the combination of research and analytical talent, skill with numbers and, dare I say, tough negotiation chops!

So please, have a look through and feel free to shoot me an email for any comments and suggestions on how we can improve more on our craft. By the way, thank you to Mr. Harry Gold for being the inspiration of this column.

"Strategy and tactics. Remind your client of your agreed approach to the planning process.

1. Target audience. Set the stage by reminding all the players who you're going after in the plan.

2. Audience research. Be able to talk about all the research you did on your target audience's online and offline behavior. This will give more impact on your media planning process and choices.

Metrics for Success. Otherwise known as the Score card; These are the metrics and definition of success of the online campaign.

Performance Split. Some of your placements and campaign may be more for branding. Be able to

establish the branding metrics and institute the initiative that some placements (that you'll call out in the plan) can't be viewed through the same lenses applied to the campaign's performance portion (conversion, etc.).

Universe of Opportunities. Show the client all the sites you looked at, not just the ones in your plan. Demonstrate that you left no stone unturned in your research, and highlight the sites the client asked to be included.

Vetting process and RFP list. Explain the selection criteria you applied to all the sites in the universe of opportunities and show the sites you requested an RFP from. Factors often include index, Alexa rating (percentage of traffic within a category), competitive presence, editorial quality, and the like.

Examination and evaluation process. Before you jump from the RFP list to the plan you want, describe the vetting process you applied to the proposals you got. Factors here clearly differ from the factors that went into the building the RFP list. They include price, innovation, value-added placements, performance clauses, and so on.

Final plan summary. This is where the spreadsheet comes in. This is a roundup of all the sites that made the final cut. If you have branding and performance campaigns, split them up here. Include site names, impression and click levels, placement details, flight schedules, and price. Total and average everything neatly at the bottom.

Client schedule. Interject with a client schedule here to set up your flight schedule. Show anything that will impact your plan's flight schedule -- events, product launches, marketing/offline campaign calendar, seasonality, holidays, and so on.

Flight schedule. Create a line or bar graph (or other graphical representation) showing impression levels and clicks, and plot items from the client schedule. Break it in two if you must, as the performance campaign may have different peaks and valleys or consistency levels than the branding campaign.

Integration. Show any linkages you created with the offline portions of integrated buys you did with the offline planning teams.

Hero slide. This is where you show the client why they hired you. Did you get 40 percent of rate card on a site? Get $25,000 worth of value-added placements? Knock a competitor out of a prime slot? Bought something new and cool? This is where you call it out!

Up-sell slide. I've yet to have a budget where I could do everything I wanted to. Here you show what you would do if you had more budget. You never know if money can be freed up somewhere else. Why not have an online home for those funds ready to go?

Plan details. This is often in the addendum as it can be a lot of information. However, when you get questions on a particular placement or site, and you will, this is where you turn. I like to have my team show screen captures of the sections and positions we bought and sample ad units. We also include the site's description and the justifications as to why we selected the site.

Competitive placements and creative. Certainly competitive creative and offers need to be shared with the client and creative team as soon as possible so they can incorporate then into what's being done on the creative side. However, I often find it a helpful addendum item in the plan as well.

Don't forget to send well-worded rejection letters to the sites and reps who took the time to send you proposals. They will appreciate it, I assure you. Also, send thank-you notes to the sites that gave you a great deal and made you look like a hero."

Thank you again Harry. I will incorporate your thoughts in my future media plans.

YouTube Tips For Promoting Your Videos

Rarely do I get mad at an affiliate who is promoting one of my products. But just the other day, I did a search in the search engines, and I saw someone promoting my product blatantly, and the way that they did it made it look "spammy". I know these people will think that if someone does a search for my product, their YouTube video will come up as maybe second or third in the results.

I hate it when people take my hard work and makes it look terrible online. This is something that I detest. Whenever I tell one of my affiliates to take down a promotion like that... another affiliate pops up and does the same thing - as if it was some popular strategy to do online.

YouTube is a great place to promote your products and services, but you will want to strive to give good information first. Don't create a video that is all about advertising a product. Too many videos like this and YouTube may ban your account. So when doing your YouTube marketing, deliver excellent content, and if you want to get traffic back to your website... include a link at the bottom of your video so that people can know where to go for more information.

Now when it comes down to creating your video, you have a lot of options at your disposal. One of the fastest and easiest ways to create a video is to interview someone. And it's best if you interview someone in your niche that is very well known. This will only boost your perception in terms of authority to your readers - since you were able to convince your "big time" niche celebrity to agree to an interview with you.

You don't want to throw out any surprises to them. It's best to contact them, see if they agree to the interview, give them the list of questions that you want to ask them, and have them prepare for the questions. This is a great way to make things move seamlessly, and to have a successful interview.

After the interview, prepare the video and make sure your promotional links are intact onto the video. You will need some professional software to do this. One good software is something called "ArcSoft Video Impression". I'm not going to lead you down the wrong path... this software is expensive, but what you get from it is something that is totally amazing. This software even gives you the option to extract the audio from the video, and turn it into a podcast for you immediately.

After you're done with the video, send a copy of it to your interviewee so that they can use it on their site to promote to their prospects and customers. It's a win-win situation for the both of you. Strive to make your interview last around 60 minutes. Trust me, time will go fast - so a 60 minute interview won't take long.

If you're going to upload it to YouTube, break it up into 10 minute segments. So you will have a total of 6 videos, all tallying up to 60 minutes. You can get incredible views and traffic this way. Be sure to promote these videos everywhere that you can. People in your niche will surely benefit from it.

Good luck with using YouTube to market your website today.

All About Hawaii Five-O

Some of us are old enough to remember Steve McGarrett and his sidekick Danno in the long running TV series Hawaii Five-O.

For those that are old enough - and for those you may not be but are just curious - here are my top five Five-O factlets!

1. The show was based (and filmed almost exclusively) in Hawaii. Since this was the 50th U.S. state, it was given the name Hawaii Five-O. The show's producer, Leonard Freeman, originally planned to call it "The Man"

2. The series is based around the activities of a special police agency headed by Steve McGarrett who reports directly to the state governor. In reality no such organization exists.

3. Five-O started in 1968 and finished - after 278 episodes spanning 12 series - in 1980.

4. The series stars Jack Lord. He was offered the part of Captain Kirk in Star Trek but turned it down. Lord was born in 1920 in Brooklyn. He died in Hawaii in 1998. He became the Executive Producer of the show after Leonard Freeman died. He was known to have an autocratic style of leadership and was very particular about having things his way.

5. The show was a runaway success from the start. If this wasn't enough, it also had one of the most famous theme tunes in TV. The Hawaii Five-O theme was composed by Morton Stevens who also penned many other TV themes such as "Police Woman". Morton was born in Newark, New Jersey in 1929 and died in Encino, California in 1991. In the year 2000, twenty years after the series ended, a poll in the UK rated the Five-O music as the most catchiest of all TV themes. Stevens won two Emmy awards for music in "Hookman" and "A Thousand Pardons, You're Dead." I am the proud owner of a vocal version of the Five-O theme tune, sung by Sammy Davies Jr. The words are truly awful but the brilliant tune still wins through!

When To Hire A Patent Attorney

Inventing a new product is a way to fulfill a need within society. But what happens after you design the new item and create a working prototype? Having this part of the process complete can be a very exciting time in the life of an entrepreneur. And the best part is that you know consumers will flock in droves to the store to purchase the new product. But you can't put it in store just yet. There are some things that will need to be done in order to protect your investment.

Some inventors are not sure when they need to hire a patent attorney to join the business. Below are the things that need to be done before hiring a professional:

Create a Sample - After designing the item you will need to create a working prototype. This means that you should make the actual item that you have invented utilizing any materials that are available. Build the product as you would if you were going to put the item up for sale in stores.

Testing - You must test the product to ensure that it works the way it should. This should include testing all the working parts of the device to make sure that they work as they should. This will ensure that the consumer gets a good product and you do not open yourself up to being sued for selling a faulty product.

Once these things have been done you can move to the next steps in the process. The following is a list of things that should be done:

Get a Lawyer - This is the part of the process in which a patent attorney should be hired. Now that you have a properly working prototype, you can show the patent attorney the device that you have created.

Get a Patent - The patent attorney will inspect the product that you have made in order to get a good idea of how it works. Once they have a handle on the item, the patent attorney will begin the process of getting a patent. The paperwork that is required can be very complex and should be left to a licensed professional to complete.

From here you will be able to proceed to the next part of the process. This means that you will be able to place the products in stores to sell to consumer. You can also begin to market the item in order to boost sales and get the word out about the new, exciting product that you have invented.

Basic Understanding of DNS Blacklists

It is one of the most efficient ways and spam filtering techniques widely used on mail servers to block unwanted emails for anti-spam countermeasures.

DNS Blacklist are used to publish lists of Internet Protocol (IP) addresses of known spammers, abuses, open relays, proxy servers through the DNS (a.k.a. Domain Name System, Domain Name Server or Domain Name Service) that can be queried by software on the Internet. Once it's configured, it can automatically reject or flag email messages as spam, if the sender's IP address is listed on one or more DNS Blacklists.

Each DNS Blacklist has its own criteria to remove any of the listed IP address in their database but in most cases have the same way of interrogating the list. As a subscriber to the DNS Blacklists, it is advised to examine their rules and policies before using them.

How Does It Work?

It use the DNS to transmit information to check if mails should be accepted or rejected.

For example, server A send mail to server B, server B analyze the server A IP address information and execute query against a list of chosen domain name system blacklist servers. Let's say if server A IP address is "122.252.246.234" append the domain name to become "234.246.252.122.dnsbl.example.com" with octets listed in reverse order. If it resolves, the IP address has been blacklisted or is not, then it isn't blacklisted.

What is the Disadvantage?

Majority of DNS Blacklist services available out there either not bother with maintaining, server goes down frequently or have been retired. You are advised to take a tour on various search engines to find and test out whether or not it will function properly before putting any of the DNS query zone into your list. Also note that some of them contains a higher false positive (email messages believed to be legitimate being filtered as spam) rate than others that may have resulted in innocent IP addresses being blocked accidentally. This may lead to a situation where your mail server will reject mails you would like to receive. The other problem is that you must take the right decisions to accept or reject mail from the sender.

The main purpose of using DNS Blacklist filters is to prevent network resources wasted on unsolicited junk mail traffic. In short, DNS Blacklist can help keep you away from the spammers.

There Is Life After Divorce

A married woman becomes a single woman for one of two reasons: death or divorce. The former is an honourable state, the latter is not.

When a woman loses her husband to death the neighbours all rally round and provide meals and any help they can give with regard to household repairs or cleaning or anything that is needed. They are willing to provide comfort and a shoulder to cry on. They are available for the widow and they include her in their activities, feeling sorry for her that she is now so alone.

However, things are quite different when a marriage ends due to infidelity or marital breakdown. That immediately plunges a woman into a new category. She is transformed, instantaneously it seems, from a married woman to a divorcee. Becoming one of many, part of a group of used and discarded women, seen as suspect by all those who are still safely ensconced in the womb of their marriage.

People tend to withdraw from her. Invitations to get togethers cease. It appears that women think their husbands might be attracted to the idea of an "available woman" and so the women who used to be friends withdraw and leave her alone with her tears and her fears. There are no meals prepared and no offers of help. Husbands are kept at home just in case, for such is the image portrayed of a divorcee. The husbands might not be safe. She might cause the destruction of other marriages.

We read jokes all the time about the lonely divorcee who invites the mailman, the milkman, or the Maytag repairman into her home with the intent of seducing him. (A joke made up, I am sure, by a man who has never known the humiliation and pain of being a divorcee.) Perhaps she even seduces them one right after the other, for such is the life of the "gay divorcee", isn't it? Freed from the bonds of marriage, with unmet needs and desires, divorcees are wanting to fill the void; or at least that is the popular image. And so in place of invitations to parties or neighbourhood barbeques which were formerly were issued to the couple and their family, there is an empty mailbox, and the phone stays quiet. She checks it every now and then to make sure it is still working.

The divorcee begins to feel as though she no longer exists; as if, because she is no longer half of a relationship, she ceases to be a part of the neighbourhood. Women who used to call her friend no longer call. Her children are not invited to play with the neighbours' children. Perhaps the women feel they would be contaminated by the disease of divorce, as if it were a virus that could be caught, or maybe they just don't know how to talk to a newly divorced woman. A divorced man, on the other hand, is often seen as more eligible and is a welcome addition to many parties. His social life may increase, and because he usually does not have the children, his disposable income is often enough to keep him comfortably.

However, life goes on. The bills still have to be paid, the kids still have to be fed and they have to be clothed. Family chores that were done by two are now done by one. If the children are old enough, they can chip in and help with the household duties such as dishes and meal preparation and housecleaning. Because of the reduction in income, the divorcee is often forced to seek employment and then she has two jobs; one inside and one outside the home.

Sometimes the inside life doesn't change much. For those who had husbands who simply went to work and came home at night expecting to be waited on, their workload is reduced by one person, so this can be a blessing. But the availability of a backup when she is really tired and the kids are really obnoxious is a problem. She has to deal with all the problems, tired or not.

Because she has been ostracized by her neighbours she seeks out other divorcees for companionship, often building relationships and forming deep bonds that last for years as they share the day to day problems and achievements. They get together with their kids and pool their resources for family dinners. They support each other in job searches, in the handling of problems, in the fights with their exes. They listen to each other and care for each other's children.

Sometimes, because of the great reduction in income, divorcees are forced to apply for an allowance from the provincial government. This is known as welfare or Mother's Allowance. There they are told that they have no right to have a phone or a car, or any of the things they consider necessities but the government considers luxuries, such as a heating bill over the allotted amount. Widows, on the other hand, usually receive a pension from their husband's estate which they can spend however they want, with no rules. The divorcees are told to sell the car and get rid of the phone, even if they are out in the country. If they have a house, they might have to give it up and move the children to a new area. Sometimes, in order to survive, they may use credit cards to buy the things they feel they need for their kids for school and other activities. They may not be able to send their kids on school trips or buy the clothes that the kids need to fit in and so their kids may be ridiculed because of the way they dress. When the kids come home crying, they often feel guilty and wonder if they couldn't have worked things out better with their ex-husbands. They cry but try to hide the tears from their children, not wanting to upset them.

When the divorcee ventures into the realms of the full-time employee instead of part-time, she must find a babysitter for her kids, arrange everyone's schedule and settle into her new lifestyle. She tries to find a boss who is willing to let her attend the various special events at her children's school and cries silently to herself when she is unable to attend a day graduation due to work, or when she is unable to see her children receive sports awards, but she knows that she is doing the best she can. She attends what she can in the evenings and on weekends and hopes it is enough.

As the divorcee settles into life on her own, she may begin to find advantages such as being able to go where she wants, when she wants and with whom she wants. She has only to consider herself, and her kids, if she has any. Eventually the heartaches will ease a little and the divorcee will reach out to others a little more, perhaps even being willing to take the risk of dating another man.

Her circumstances may not have changed a lot. She still struggles to pay bills, to provide for her kids, yet she finds her life is full. Not the rumoured life of the gay divorcee, replete with men or with parties and wild living, but one of love for her kids, and perhaps of studying for a degree while working in a fulfilling career where helping others. She has weathered the storms of life and feels that she has come out on top. Her children move on to their own homes and to employment. Perhaps her eldest has his dream job, that of webmaster and service technician. Another may become the youngest Inventory Control Manager and the only female one in Eastern Ontario for a large soft drink company. Another, with a child of her own, may work part-time and plan to return to school to take an Esthetics course. Her children could be very involved in hockey, perhaps playing at the AA level or Junior A level which requires a lot of travelling and sacrifice of personal time. But to her it is all worth it to watch her child score the winning goal and to see the smile on his face as he turns from the net. Her heart swells with pride as his teammates congratulate him and the parents lean over to say how well he played.

Yes, life continues after divorce, the pain and heartache suffered in the beginning eventually fade somewhat and the divorcee finds the strength to survive and, more than that, to move on to whatever the future has in store.

Occupational Health Related Issues

Ever wondered why official meetings always 'stress' on a particular point? Isn't there another word for it or the companies use it explicitly?

The logic is simple. An unhealthy mind produces error-prone work whereas a healthy mind produces productive work with high efficiency. Problems at home, relationships, a flat tire on the way to office are all causes of stress in the workplace. How to tackle them with ease is the key to success of a healthy worker.

In the present scenario, even a Tom, Dick or Harry company would neither prefer having employees who go frequently on sick leave nor compensating for their medical claims. However, any accident happening at the workplace should be taken care of by the management. That is why industries are given significant high-end regulations on safety operations and emergency remedies.

Occupational health and safety management typically manifests the commitment of the company to its workers' safety. The claims however are different with respect to different working environments.

Most industries claim to be protective of its workers but ultimately would have ruled out on regulations for simple issues stating them as 'potentially risk-free' or 'reasonably practicable'. In such cases, claiming compensation would be very tiresome ultimately making the worker even more stressful. Also the minds of workers mostly ponder as to, "why did I choose this job?"Or "I should have stayed in the previous one..." and so on. But what is least realized is the fact that wherever we work or under whomever we are put into, we will face similar work-related issues. The solution to this lies fortunately or unfortunately in the employees' hands.

The Organization on the other hand should begin to 'eye' the problems in a different angle and start devising manageable rules for the benefit of the workers as well as the company. Also, issues that have been disproportionately tackled in the organization should at least take a step forward and start analyzing in terms of risk assessments so that such Occupational health related issues are resolved and not repeated in future.

Occupational health is the most-discussed topic in the corporate world with the increasing number of medical claims and frequent visits to psychiatrists by the employees. Be it a hike in the pay or a period of lay-off, it is always the employees who are affected both physically and mentally. If this is the case in corporate, it is even bad in industries where workers are prone to occupational hazards. A stressful worker working on an acid tank is more susceptible to accident than a worker who is mentally fit. Thus both metal health and physical health play a very influential role in bringing enormous turnover for the company as well as the worker.

How to Remove a Stuck Screw - The 5 Best Methods of Stubborn Screw Removal

Typically caused by the inevitable rust and corrosion that occurs inside a screw hole, a stuck screw can be an incredibly frustrating thing to work with. Not only can it slow a project down, but it can throw a wet wool blanket over anybody's good mood. This corrosion effectively locks a screw into place and removing the thing can potentially destroy the screw itself or, worse yet, the material it's embedded in. Fortunately, though, there are few sure-fire methods that will help you remove a stuck screw with relative ease and minimal annoyance.

Before beginning to beat-up your screw, though, please be sure you have the correct size and type of screwdriver; the wrong one can strip the screw-head making it incredibly more difficult to remove and virtually impossible without destroying it altogether.

1. Chemical Warfare: The first and least invasive method of stuck-screw extraction is the use a little chemical manipulation. While that may sound complicated, some pretty everyday "solutions" should dissolve the corrosion that's binding your screw. For instance, lemon juice, hydrogen peroxide and even a refreshing cola beverage can breakup corrosion and release a stuck screw. You may even go all out and reach for some rust remover at the grocery, home or hardware store (though this is both more aggressive and more expensive).

Although this technique is typically the most gentle way to release a stuck screw, you must be careful not to stain or damage your material. Damage may occur where an anti-corrosive is too potent or is left soaking for too long.

In either case, your anti-corrosive solution of choice should be left to soak for a few minutes. To the best of your ability apply the solution inside the screw-hole; tapping the screw-head while applying will help the anti-corrosive penetrate deeper into the screw-hole (and will therefore loosen or release more of the screw). The more surface area you can contact with the solution, the easier the screw will come free.

After adequate soaking, attempt to remove the screw. If the screw will not loosen, attempt to tighten it (you can utilize the tightening technique throughout most of the below methods). If the screw will move in either direction (even the tighter direction) the movement should break the corrosion and, effectively, set it free. If the screw still won't budge, it's time for our next method.

2. Brute Force: This method involves muscle - good-old-fashioned, gettin-it-done muscle (and a tool or two to enhance your human strength). First, if you can get a grip on the screw-head, try to grab it with pliers or vice grips. If you can get hold of it, you may be able to turn it with this added leverage. If you can't get hold of it, insert the screwdriver into the screw-head, lock the pliers or grips onto the shaft of the screwdriver and, while pushing down it, try to turn it again. The downward pressure form the screwdriver and the turning leverage from the grips may break the screw loose.

If this doesn't work, try hitting the top of the screwdriver (not so aggressively that you destroy the tip of it, but enough to let that screw know you're there). Ideally, the impact will bust-up some corrosion and release the screw. If you can manage it, also try hitting the screwdriver while turning it - this combination of impact and rotation will often force a screw loose. - Be careful, though, not to strip the screw-head.

3. Temperature Tampering: Before using extreme temperatures on your stuck screw, be sure the material the screw is stuck in can handle such fluctuations. I you heat it up, don't use lubricating oils as they are flammable and may catch fire. Extreme temperatures may also burn you, so please, be cautious and wear appropriate safety gear.

The first thing to try is heat. Using a butane or propane torch, a soldering iron, a heat gun or even a glue gun (without glue, of course) you can get that screw nice and hot. The heat will expand the screw, break the corrosion and should allow you to joggle it loose.

If your material can not or should not be exposed to high-heat, chilling the screw, although, less effective, may also get the thing loose. Allow ice to set on the screw (place ice in a plastic bag to avoid too much water permeation). Dry ice is more effective than "regular" ice. When the screw has become good and freezing cold, try turning it in both directions.

Heat and cold cycles can be repeated for better results.

4. Destruction: If the screw absolutely must come out and none of the previous methods have worked, you may have to destroy it. Of course, destroying the screw is a last resort and these methods are typically reserved for the end of the line. When employing the destruction method, be careful to keep the screw-hole intact.

First, position a small chisel or steel punch just slightly off center in the screw-head. Repeatedly strike the top of the chisel or punch with a hammer. Strike with counter-clockwise pressure. Several impacts of this nature should separate the screw from the corrosion and loosen it for removal.

You may also get funky with your power drill and attempt to drill out the stuck screw. This will typically destroy the screw-head altogether but you may be able to get it moving before the head is useless. - Keeping your drill bit firm and dead-center on the screw-head, attempt to reverse the screw from the hole. Be careful not to lose your mark and, in doing, mar the surrounding material. If you can get some of the screw to release but you have destroyed the screw-head, grab whatever portion of the screw you can with your pliers or grips and twist it out.

5. Total Annihilation (the Screw Extractor): Of course, the screw-annihilation route is a last resort, but, where you're stuck-screw is really dang stuck or where any screw has lost its thread, head or head-slots, it may be impossible to remove without a screw extractor.

A screw extractor is designed to drive into a screw's body, grab it, twist it and remove it. The thing is a pretty brilliant little device that runs only about $10 (give or take). Though it's built to fastened to a T-handle, the screw extractor's square head and reverse tapered cutting threads can work their magic just as well with an adjustable wrench or pair of vice grips.

First, using a power drill and the smallest drill bit you've got, drill a pilot hole into the center of the stuck-screw. Expanding the pilot hole with slightly larger bits, the final size of your pilot hole will vary depending upon the size of the screw extractor being used. With your grips, pliers or T-handle, insert the extractor into the pilot hole. Tap the top of the extractor with a hammer to ensure it's secured into the pilot hole and, while pushing downward, turn the extractor counter-clockwise (or, to the left). Be careful as you push and twist, though, because although an extractor is typically fabricated of superior grade steel, the extractor may break inside the pilot hole if pushed to aggressively. Ultimately, though, the reverse threads on the extractor will dig into the interior of stuck-screw, release the corrosion and, most importantly, remove the screw.

Vote of Confidence: You can do it! - Persistence is the best way to get that screw loose. Show it who's boss, keep your cool and you will surely come out on top.

How to Create a Free Playlist of Your Favorite Music Online

Music is a piece of our culture that is constantly changing and evolving. There are many styles, preferences, and performers. Everyone has their own taste in music and it is not uncommon for someone to like several types of genres. When listening to the radio they generally only play one genre of music and target one audience. It is hard to find a method of listening to music that allows you to pick what genre of music you want to listen to and even let you pick your songs.

There are websites out there that do let you listen to the type of music of your choosing, the most popular is probably Pandora.com. They allow you to create your own stations but they select the songs that are played. The beauty of Pandora.com is the fact that they allow you to play as many stations at as you want in a shuffle format. For example, if you want to listen to a channel playing country, a channel playing songs related to Red Hot Chili Peppers, and a hip hop channel they allow you to play all three channels at one time. They will shuffle between those three channels playing songs in those channels only. Pandora is a free service for the first 40 hours if every month, but, you have to pay after to use their service after the first 40 hours. They also have a phone app that you can open and play through the speaker on your phone.

Although Pandora is an excellent method of customizing the music you listen to it does not let you customize your own playlist with songs of your choosing. The best method for this is using YouTube.com. Yes, YouTube.com is a video site but they have hundreds of thousands of music videos and videos with songs in them. Even new releases are found on YouTube.com. YouTube.com also gives you the ability to create playlist. You can search for music videos and add them to your playlist. You can create one playlist with all your music or even create multiple playlist with certain songs in each playlist. When playing your songs YouTube.com even gives you the opportunity to shuffle or play in the order you choose. This is completely free, you just need to sign up for a YouTube.com account.

UV Light and Athlete Foot Fungus

All Runners and Athletes know that it is almost impossible to prevent athletes feet. You stick your feet in shoes and subject them to all sorts of extreme conditions, conditions which are ideal for the commonly referred to problem of Athletes Feet.

One of the greatest inventions of athletes and runners, especially long distance marathoners, triathletes and ultra-marathoners is a foot fixer. It is a cool invention, which you have probably seen, it is blue in color and makes hot water, while vibrating or tickling the bottom of your feet. They are killer little machines. I propose redesigning these machines and put a UV light on the top of the machine with a cover so you can put your feet inside, similar to a Tanning Booth, but only one or two small lights. You stick your feet in there for about five minutes and wiggle your toes to make sure the light gets everywhere between.

Next you pour solution to treat athletes feet inside the tub and finish off the athletes feet fungus by completely ending its hold on your feet. Then you dump out the water and rinse and put in fresh water and heat it up allowing for the water foot massage that the Foot Fixer was designed for; ahhhhh, so good. Think on this and defeat athlete foot fungus.

The Man In My Basement-Book Review

"The Man in My Basement" by Walter Mosley

"The Man in My Basement" is almost a writer's version of a symphony. Its theme is quiet and subtly played, but it draws you into its music by changing out the rhythms into making a man's most mundane existence extraordinary.

The two main characters could not be more vastly diverse. Charles Blakey lives in the home and on the property his family has owned for generations. He's recently lost his job and he's behind on his mortgage payments. The other man, Anniston Bennet appears to be a man of means who wants to rent out the Blakey basement for the summer at a fee "that it would make it more than worth your while". The money would be more than welcome, but as with any offer that comes out of the thin air, there are strange provisions that go along with it. At first the offer is dismissed, but then re-visited for financial reasons and the one man's rescue.

As the story opens further, the plot thickens by letting the reader find out strange personality quirks on both men. One reveals that he's a closet thief and possible drunk with not much in the way of taking care of himself or the people in his life. The other turns out to be a complete sham, hiding his cultural background and the fact that he is indeed a ruthless killer, who is now beginning to have regrets about his life.

Like a fine symphony, you know this rather simple story must end. Due to the events that take place, you also know that it will be rather dirge-like in its completion, yet you keep reading. The end, like a melody is not surprise, yet it was an interesting piece of orchestration.

Google Site Analytics - Do You Measure Up?

Like many "regular folks" on the internet, I was not a big fan of metrics when I first started my online adventures. However, I have discovered that Google site analytics to be a very powerful tool in my online success, and I will explain how later.

First, let's explore why Google has become the online authority for search engine optimization and website metrics. The host of tools that are offered for measuring your website's success is as many as there are websites, in the millions to gazillions! But, the novice and pro seem to gravitate toward the Google site analytics tools.

Features of Google Site Analytics

The most beneficial feature of Google site analytics is the Dashboard that shows the overall performance of your website. There are two important pieces of information that I use to instantly see how my site is performing, the Unique Visitors, and Avg. Visit Duration. The first number tells me that there are first-time visitors in the community, the second tells me that length of time they spent on my site. Now, their duration on my site could signal me that they are bored with my content or they love and stayed to read more. Currently, I am pleased with the duration of my visitors and will continue to find out what they want to read more of and get it out there for them. The longer your visitor's stay, they are more inclined to buy from you and come back in the future for more information.

One of the newest features is the Real-Time Overview, watching your site's performance while visitors are on the site. Google's new analytics show the number of visitors that come from mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets. This trend has been growing steadily and will continue to do so. Using Goolge's AdSense for mobile devices is a wise position to take if you haven't already jumped into the mobile game.

Another great feature is the social traffic reports panel. If you have engaged fans and followers through social media, including Facebook, Twitter, Blogger, LinkedIn, and other popular social media platforms, then you can now view these statistics to see your traffic flow. This is great for creating new campaigns or even tweaking what is not producing results.

Now that you know there are great new features for Google Site Analytics, you can create an effective strategy for your marketing efforts on your website or blog and driving more traffic, gaining more customers, and building more credibly.
